Camp Jaycee staff will be responsible for implementing safe and age-appropriate programs for all camp participants. Camp Jaycee staff will assist with the planning and implementation of daily activities for campers and will ensure the camp operates in a safe and nurturing environment at all times.

CAMP JAYCEE POSITIONS AVAILABLE ARE AS FOLLOWS: 

  • JUNIOR COUNSELOR

    The Junior Camp Counselor is a seasonal temporary role responsible for implementing safe and age appropriate programs for campers enrolled in the LFJCC Summer Camp. Junior Camp Counselors will be expected to attend weekly staff meetings with assigned unit and entire camp staff, and will be expected to follow camp objectives, rules, policies and guidelines. Junior Camp Counselors will be required to establish positive relationships with parents, campers, as well as other staff, ensuring everyone is working together as a team. Individuals working as a Junior Camp Counselor will be responsible for utilizing good, sound judgment, as well as handling emergency situations and providing first aid when needed. LEARN MORE
  • SENIOR COUNSELOR

    The Senior Camp Counselor is a seasonal temporary role responsible for implementing safe and age appropriate programs for campers enrolled in the LFJCC Summer Camp.   • UNIT LEADER

    The Unit Leader serves as the primary adult responsible for the youth and staff in the camp unit. They will implement safe and age appropriate programs for their unit, help facilitate staff training, hold weekly staff meetings with their unit and will evaluate their counselors at mid-summer and at the end of summer. The Unit Leader is expected to follow camp objectives, rules, policies and guidelines at all times. This position will be responsible for turning in all required paperwork by the required deadlines, and will be responsible for establishing positive relationships with parents, campers and fellow staff. The Unit Leader will be required to use good/sound judgment, and will be responsible for handling emergency situations appropriately, providing first aid when needed. LEARN MORE
  • ACTIVITY SPECIALIST

    Responsible for planning and leading age appropriate activities in one of the 4 following categories: Sports, Arts, Music or Theater. This position will establish positive relationships with campers and camp staff, and will help to promote their particular activity throughout the summer. LEARN MORE
